Some Future Projects

I’ve not been creating much art lately. Part of the reason is because I’ve been fighting my chronic cough since last October, which didn’t allow me to sleep well. I also have been enjoying writing on Substack. You can check out my posts here.

However, the cough is finally in the past, and I’m motivated to get back to art. We are having the carpet removed from the bedroom and my studio and new flooring added soon. So to do that, I need to move all of the stuff on the shelving and bookcases. I am going through a few of the books and weeding out some that I don’t need anymore, but since time is limited due to leaving on a trip on Monday, I need to just get them in boxes and storing them somewhere else.

While putting them in boxes I ran across these books. I’ve never used any of my Kraft-tex paper or much of my cork, so there are some ideas in these books I want to try. The other two I’ve looked through but want to explore them more when I get back. I’ve even made myself a little list on things I want to make.

I mentioned a couple posts ago I was working on a new fabric book. Well, I’ve worked on it but had to stop due to my trip this weekend. Here’s a sneak peak at my progress.

I’ve also been doing some gardening between the rain. Our asparagus is pretty much history. We’ve enjoyed in a variety of meals. This one we had for lunch today, is one of my favorite. It’s called Asparagus Mimosa. Yum! That will probably be the last one until next year.

Gotta get to packing. Oh, I just got a comment that my tutorial links don’t work. I’ve been working on it, thought I had it fixed but it’s not. I’ll work on it when I return later this week and hope to have it fixed.  You can always find the tutorials by using the magnifying glass on right of the page at top and either type in the title I have for the picture of the tutorial, or just type in the category – ice dyeing, leaf printing etc – and you will get a list of all of those posts.
